Vesna Krstich, BA, MA (she/her)
Psychoanalyst-in-Training
I work with individuals who wish to better understand themselves and the sources of their challenges.
My therapeutic training is grounded in a psychoanalytic approach. I will listen attentively and invite you to think and speak freely about whatever issues, feelings, or thoughts are weighing on you. The trusting relationship we form will guide us forward. Together, we will explore how your past and present experiences may be contributing to your difficulties, directly and indirectly. When we begin to understand the obstacles that stand in our way, we can learn to overcome our challenges, manage the twists and turns of daily life, and meet our needs over the long term.
I work with people who struggle with various concerns: depression and anxiety, obsessional thinking, self-image, relationships, gender, sexuality, academics, loss, guilt, or feelings of being ‘stuck.’ My professional interests include: parent/child dynamics, attachment trauma, and women’s health. I also enjoy working with teens who are transitioning into young adulthood, and creative folks who are interested in exploring their inner processes in whatever forms they take.
My practice is informed by 20 years of experience working in education, teaching visual arts and developing socially-engaged art projects that serve marginalized communities, public and private schools, and cultural spaces. I have also co-facilitated youth support groups ranging from substance abuse to life transitions. Making connections between myself and others is what drives my work.
Feel free to introduce yourself, and know that I look forward to hearing from you.
