Stephanie Conway,MEd.
Registered Psychotherapist
Stephanie is a Registered Psychotherapist who provides support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, abuse, relationship issues, life transitions, and parenting concerns. She works from your strengths to help you address everyday difficulties and find some answers within.
As a former College teacher, now pursuing a second career, Stephanie’s clients benefit from her twenty years of experience building relationships, asking questions that inspire reflection, and supporting people from diverse backgrounds to learn and grow. Stephanie brings authenticity, curiosity and creativity to her sessions. Her therapy approach integrates evidenced-based research on trauma, the body, attachment, and mindfulness. She has also done training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), or parts work.
In a typical session Stephanie would validate what is going on for you, bring awareness to underlying feelings, provide some perspective, create experiences so you can go deeper, and give you some tools to apply in your daily life.
Building rapport and creating safety is the foundation for all successful psychotherapy. Stephanie’s ideal client is motivated to look at themselves and welcomes collaboration. This client is open to experimenting with inner awareness, and is willing to explore whatever is coming up, including in the therapy relationship itself.
Stephanie is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP).
