I am a psychologist in
full-time private practice. I
earned my doctorate in clinical/counselling psychology from the University of
Toronto (OISE) and have been registered with the College of Psychologists of
Ontario since December 1992. Prior to private practice, I spent 13 years working
in the mental health system, where I provided individual and group treatment to
adults with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
Traumatic injury,
whether emotional, physical or sexual, disrupts the mind, body, and spirit. I
have specialized training in the treatment of trauma-related conditions,
including Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Sensorimotor
Psychotherapy. I also have training and experience in the treatment of
Dissociative Disorders and Borderline Personality Disorder.
In my current
practice, I offer individual psychotherapy that is tailored to the specific
needs of the client. My overall treatment goal for everyone, however, is to
restore balance and hope.
