I have moved my practice to the Roncesvalles Psychology Clinic at 120 Roncesvalles as of Nov. 28, 2016. Please call 416-531-5152 to inquire about our full range of services.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a practice based primarily in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with mindfulness at its core. I am currently a senior candidate at the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, and as such, I engage with my patients through a careful balancing of technique with awareness to the interpersonal processes that unfold ‘in the moment.” I have extensive education and training in a variety of proven therapeutic modalities, including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Mindfulness Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. As a well-rounded clinician, I am able to tailor therapy to the individual needs of my patients.
To enhance my clinical practice, I remain involved in teaching, supervision of Psychology Doctoral Students, and research endeavours, both at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, and in my private practice.
I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from OISE/University of Toronto in 2004. My clinical experience includes training at the Toronto District School Board, The Hospital for Sick Children, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Out Patient Clinic as well as the Eating Disorders Program at North York General Hospital. I have provided supervision for psychology interns as well as candidates for registration for the College of Psychologists of Ontario. For the past 6 years I have worked in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga.
One of the strongest predictors of treatment success is a good interpersonal relationship with the therapist. As such, you are welcome to call me for a free brief consultation and ask any questions you may have with respect to my training and experience.
I am currently enrolled at the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis.
As part of my training, I will be able to offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy to adults wishing to commit to sessions 3 times per week, for at least one year. If you are interested, please email me directly so that we can meet to discuss whether this therapy is right for you, as well as fees and appointment days / times in advance.
