I am a counselling psychotherapist and registered social worker. I work with both men and women on issues that include anxiety and stress, family of origin, grief and loss, anger and depression, relationships, pain and illness, life transitions and choice making.
I also have over 15 years experience as a group educator and facilitator. I have developed and provided worksite stress management courses, co-led men’s anger management and belief/behaviour change groups, created and facilitated ongoing women’s support groups, and developed and led a number of workshops related to personal growth and life transitions.
My counselling and educational services are provided with compassion as well as competence. Client confidentiality is assured in a safe environment. My relationship with clients is based on my genuine caring and respect for them and my belief in their capacity for healing and growth. I subscribe to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Fees : As a registered social worker, my fees are covered in full or in part under some extended health packages. Receipts can be issued for insurance purposes. I also offer a sliding fee scale which can be discussed and agreed upon during a consultation or first session.
Workshops and Courses: I offer a variety of workshops on topics related to self-awareness, healing and growth, including the courses outlined below.

From Maiden to Motherhood - supporting the transition to motherhood - This course is a series of workshops for mothers to explore and deepen their personal and transpersonal identities as women and mothers. Each class combines information sharing, relaxation, experiential exercises, discussion and self-care to create a supportive, comfortable learning environment.
Night Vision Integrated - exploring and working with your dreams - This course includes an Introductory Workshop and a series of classes on dream work as a path of self-discovery and growth. A small group format and a comfortable setting provide opportunity for personal learning and dream work. Workshop and classes can be taken together or individually.
Managing Stress in a Stressful World - This course is for individuals who want to develop new ways to effectively manage sources and symptoms of stress. An initial and follow-up individual session, combined with 4 classes, create a process for personal and group learning. Topics include the mind/body connection (cognitive, physiological, emotional, behavioural symptoms and responses), relaxation techniques, stress management techniques and more.
