Reiki

What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced Ray'-Kee) is a worldwide light-touch healing and spiritual development system, which facilitates a return to balanced functioning on physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social levels. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) classifies Reiki as a form of energy medicine, and specifically a biofield therapy. Literally, "Reiki" means "universal life force energy", and is whole, non-dual, and flows through all living things (as taught by the Masters before me). By tapping into the body's innate ability and desire to heal, benefits of Reiki include:

- Decreased pain, anxiety, depression, stress, emotional block, confusion.
- Increased relaxation, rejuvenation, resilience, immune function, healing rate, release, clarity, self-esteem, creativity, willpower.

For further information, please visit the Canadian Reiki Association (CRA) and the NCCAM websites, and enjoy further reading with the references below.
