During
the Spring/Summer of 2011, I was trained/attuned to the healing power
of Reiki; in level's 1 and 2. I am delighted to have this new healing
tool to share with others. Reiki has a unique healing capacity that can
be used to relax, re energize, rejuvenate, restore, renew, reintegrate
and align those who experience it. Much of my life has been focused on
bringing healing to others through a variety of means. For four years I
worked for the TDSB facilitating Aquatic Therapy for children and young
adults with special needs. This experience provided me with a profound
insight into the power of human connection and the myriad of ways this
can be achieved! Since 2009 I have been working with at risk female
youth who have come into conflict with the law, in a secure custody
setting. The front line experience I have gained from working in this
environment has been invaluable, and a true test of patience. It has
equipped me to work with individuals in complex situations; many with
mental health needs and who have experienced abuse, trauma, and
addiction in their lives. I have a therapeutic and strength based
approach to helping others. I believe that every person's inner light
has the capacity to shine and grow, bringing illumination and clarity
into their lives and the lives of those around them. Through the healing
light and love of Reiki energy, I hope to assist others in cultivating
their own inner light and support them in blossoming into their fullest
potential.
In 2007 I graduated with an Honours Bachelors Degree in
Criminology and Psychology from York University. I also received a
Certificate in Rehabilitation Services from Seneca College.
I have been studying and practicing Palmistry since 2009. I also
love taking photographs of the sacred beauty of nature, architecture and
people; and make Greeting Cards, Framed Prints and Paintings of my
photography.
